Terms of use

Who can join

• Single working professionals aged 23 to 45 who live in Lagos. Single means not married, engaged or in a relationship.
• Membership is by invitation. A member’s invite code lets you apply; it doesn’t guarantee a place.
• We read every application ourselves and may decline one without giving a detailed reason.

Being honest

Everything you tell us must be true and about you, including your photos. We check your details against your LinkedIn profile, but verification lowers risk; it can’t guarantee anyone’s identity, relationship status or behaviour. Being dishonest about being single means removal from Ceesame.

Introductions and dates

• We introduce you to one person at a time. You’re free to say no to any introduction.
• If you both say yes, we arrange the date at a venue we book.
• A commitment fee holds your table. The amount, and exactly when you’d get it back, are shown in the app before you pay.

Community rules

• Treat every match with respect, on the date and in chat.
• Turn up on time. If you can’t make a date, tell Ceesame as early as you can.
• Keep chat to arranging and enjoying your date. No pressure, insults or explicit messages.
• Don’t share anything a match tells you, or their photos, outside Ceesame.
• Don’t ask for or send money.
• Report anything that feels wrong. We read every report.

Breaking these rules can lead to a warning, a pause or removal. Harassment, unsafe behaviour or not being single pauses matching straight away while we look into it.

Leaving

You can ask us to pause or delete your account at any time. We can pause or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date above and tell members in the app before the change applies.
